If you see the "Verified" graphic on a profile, it means that the member is or was a paying member, and that PayPal reported them as being verified.
PayPal reports this status to us, and we make the status known to you, to assist you in choosing who to work with.
To become Verified, a PayPal member in the United States must provide proof that he or she has opened an account at a bank or other financial institution. Because these institutions are required by law to screen account holders, the verification process increases security when dealing with parties you do not know.
This does not constitute an endorsement of a member, nor a guarantee of a member's business practices.
So look for that logo, and rest better knowing that at least they were able to find a bank! | | Posted:Mar 01, 2008 @ 5:27 PM Edited:Aug 24, 2009 @ 9:31 PM link |
