Accounts on Model Locate must be approved by existing members (called screeners) before they are fully functional. Applications may be declined for a violation of the terms of service or other problems such as being incomplete.
Most common reasons accounts are declined:
Models:
1. Didn’t complete all required info, measurements
2. Didn’t upload enough photos
3. Not a model, or some other violation of terms of service
Photographers:
1. Didn’t complete all required info, especially first & last name
2. Uploaded photos that violated terms of service
3. Joined for some other purpose than hiring models, especially asking models for money.
4. Claimed professional status but provided amateur information/photos
General:
1. Inconsistent info: (e.g. claiming full time pro status without work to support it)
2. Linking to porn or other banned content
Applications must receive the nod from enough screeners to be approved. If an application has been in the queue for a few days and nobody is voting to keep it, the system will not approve it.
Also, if the owner of an existing account doesn't use the site for a long time (like a year) the account will be set to inactive until the owner comes back and logs in.
