Describe your equipment/facilities (camera, lights, studio, backdrops, etc.)?
Operate in digital, 35mm, and medium formats. Digital mono lights and several sets of studio lights. Large studio in country, 8 acres dedicated to photo work with various stations about. Studio has track lighting, designed for 360 degreee shooting. Sets, screens, movable. One area for changing sets. Also have window lite loft for shooting. Large dressing room and lots of storage space. Prop dress collection of lacy, feminine type number close to 200. Lingerie sets probably number around 50 plus.

What days of the week, and times of day, are best for you to shoot?
Normal business hours and by appointment other times. Main photographer is out a lot on location shoots and contracted shooting.

How far are you willing to travel for that special shoot?
We used to travel the world but now try to stay in North America.

What features/measurements are most important to you when choosing a model?
The majority of women we work with for model are usually 34B or 34C, waist 23 to 25, hips 32 or 34. Variances occur but that seems to be what we get. Personally, I try to avoid the developing double chins that many of the young girls seem to have these days. Eyes are extremely important.

What types of shots do you need to see in a model's portfolio to make a decision (e.g. full length, close-up without ...
Standard comp card type shots.

What is your next pet project?
I always have several going on at a time.

Other than online, where do you find the best models?
While traveling and through contact on the job.

What are your favorite and least favorite things about Model Locate?
I like that I have paid the lifetime option and don't have to worry about when payment due. I appreciate the BMI listing that many models have on file. Least favorites - it doesn't seem to be as popular as it's competitors yet but I figure - give it time. It seems if a model hasn't checked her page in over a year she should be deleted. Still, as on most net sites, reliability of models is shakey and find a good number of flakey ones on here.

How are the photos you shoot used?
Personal use by customers. Advertising, display, mostly publication. Many times for my own personal display on premises. Most models I contract through online sites are for experimentation or various photo projects.

What is your formal education (if any) in photography, and how long have you been shooting?
Have attended 3 colleges and one special school for photo studies and attend many seminars when I can make the time. Made my first big sale in Germany in 1969 and went pro from there. Have operated a studio in one location or another since 1974. So, over 35 years. As a sidenote: I built my first darkroom at the age of ten and at the age of 11 decided if I was to pursue photography it would have to be a profession simply due to the costs involved.
